Getting close up. (It links to some links), and a camera i have tried before and was impressed with its macro abilities is the Sony Mavica. I don't work in advertising, I am an evangelist, unrelated to him/them/it.

Coughs Harbour - with its beautiful yes you guessed it, Big banana and harbour. Earlier today the bus stopped at Ballina with its giant prawn. These are strange things. Jeff Coons (?) devised a giant scotty dog once didn't he (the little runt).

For alternative technology Darcy Turner's ideas are certainly worth a look.
Anti-gravity? What have I got against it? Who am I Kidding ?

A town called Arcosanti - never heard of it until just now.
Some good links including this from the Piano Technicians Guild. Not to mention a host of many others.

Found a book on the subject of anti-gravity and associated technology/chronology and researches. It is quite interesting, and also links to my sept 18th rantings - Schauberger, Pullman, Einstein, Hawkwind etc. and more.

More on Pullman's "His Dark Materials" This is an annotated look at the books.
Listened to a radio station here last night (Answers radio, about 88.0 fm) A preacher by the name of Dwight K. Nelson - some seriously strange angles on life. I think he is an american 7th day adventist. In one bit, he was saying that in the Disney animated feature, "aladdin" there is subliminal subversive talking somewhere saying " Teenagers, it's all right to take your clothes off ". This was not the strangest of things he has to say. Have a look/listen for yourself .
Jack Chick also offers highly entertaining and mildly artistic publications - some of these are just so outlandishly paranoid.
Steve Jones (Author of Almost Like a Whale/Darwin's Ghost) has his own ideas.
Back to Philip Pullaman (mentioned 18th sept) there is reaction against his Trilogy. I am still trying to find articles about J.K. rowling and Pullman book burnings - which are incidentally brilliant for book sales and bad for environment.

evesdropping - breathing, living, eating being didgeridoos - non-stop. "Next time i see ya mate, you're gonna look like a didgeridoo" is what i heard.
I am here sorry to dwell on it, but, a place where Lasagne is spelt "LAZANIA".
Am I incorrect, prudish or linguistist?

"Choose from thousands of artists including Gareth Gates, Will Young, Westlife, Dido, Faithless, Rod Stewart, The Corrs and Prince. Click here now to start burning up." A choice there - stranglers, kylie (who, unfortunately wouldn't), other stuff.
I bought some very pleasing modified screen prints by an Australian Artist, Marc Renshaw (Mark Renshaw seems to be an Aussie Cyclist) Looking on line about this fine, fine artist (and i would say graphic designer, but i don't want to speak for the lad) - found this page. which i found most interesting - artist stuff and some info about the myths regarding asylum seekers in Australia. Only obsessing about this country a little cos i am here, you know, local interest etc.
This process is a lot more doable when i can open more than one browser window, unlike last night's confusion when sentenses somehow became moinked together.
and time went.

Listening to the radio in Sydney the other day and heard this young man being interviewed - he is the current Young Australian of the year, and is a geoscientist with a lot of enthusiasm, called Scott Hocknull.
Cahnging the subject to something that popped up on Australian Tv the other night, nestled amongst the ads was this organisation to inspire and encourage fatherhood (sorry, men only); which i see as some kind of economic "progress" boosting propaganda drive type thing. It seemed odd between fast food and cars to see this.

Wondering about Eric idle (not pop) and Eleanor Bron, both British actors. Since i am reading the former and the latter, apparently lived next door, daughter of an eye surgeon, any way for them and other famous E's try this.
It is Probeert's Encyclopaedia, which i just found unreasonably difficult to type. Oh, that too - this is strong coffee.
Using the power of Probert's resource, I managed to get from a famous E to the river Volga in 2 simple and easy clicks. For the actual encyclopaedic resource, this will take you there, it includes many categories and a lot are cross refenced.

These baby chipmunks were found by accident.

Wondering about a beautiful looking solar car made by a Malaysian engineer/designerm whose name i don't know. I wil keep looking - the design is lovely. Did find this though.
Something funny happening there with the eric idle and solar car paragraphs - got a bit mixed up - this is the solar and sustainable info i stumbled across. sorry if it appears twice.
Hello from Byron Bay, New south wales. Not much like the old south wales. Saw a sign today saying "Whales are Gods too"
What!!? what ever that is, can i have some.
It was next to the local Chocolat factory, which could explain something. Went looking for a link to this establishment, a few things (not a choc fan at all myself) but thru yahoo, this was one of the pages which came along:http://www.ladyfestbayarea.org/ladies/I suppose that might be San francisco bay area, well it has to be, hardly likely to be ________ bay (fill in funny non famous bay here). Wondering about bloggers local to me (how silly, considering the dimensions of Mega City Cyber.
Nonetheless (i love that word), i typed "walthamstow" and "blogs" which gave the World this. Which i thought was interesting - read a document along those lines a few years ago - about the usage of ancient chariots flying craft for one passenger with the help of a piece of mercury and intention. Viktor Schauberger wrote and experimented also with craft of this sort, I think but powered by water. He was interesting indeed. Energy efficiency. Philip Pullman touches upon an 'intention craft' of this sort in one of his "His dark materials" trilogy. Fantastic stuff - where theology and Quantum Physics entwine (An interview with Pullman ). C.S. Lewis, Tolkien (who shot J.R.R.?) and Einstein all moinked together. Quarks, strangeness and charm.

Well, About to go to gate 25 of KLIA (kualar Lumpur airport) to get on MH 123, no doubt there be entertaining movies and a selection of computer games on board with which to turn my eyes even more square. I wasn't nearly attacked by a monkey or dog in the space of 5 minutes today. If only that were true.
I have many new shirts in which to fall headlong.
Visited a Hindu, Buddhist and Muslim place of worship today.
Witnessed some heats of the "world's strongest (and frighteningly sort of bloated looking) man" contest, which was an unexpected thrill.
"8 stone weakling watches big men grunting" i can see it now.....
Off to the gate to fly away.

Still in KL, checking emails and generally pottering around - in fact spending a lot of time in the cinema (nice and cool -temperature- and strangely enough, entertaining).
Whilst searching for cinema listings for the KLCC cinema (inside the oh so huge twin towers) i found this fellow blogger's blog: The Meesh Experience is here. She is a local, I am merely a passerby, trying to stay cool and catching up on World news via the hotel T.V., oh, and buying psycadelic batik shirts.
On that note (E flat), off to the cinema to try and see (although all the gratuitous swearing will be edited) XXX starring some men with big arms and attitude, no doubt.
Speaking of which, i saw "wolf soldier" last night, a British film which i hadn't heard of before and man was that disgusting, yet highly entertaining. Made me think of my favourite East london sausage shop on Hoe street, London E17 (that's right, it's the establishment that ISN'T an estate agent).
Over and out.

Suddenly ( without feeling too much like Lionel Richie). i find myself in KL, no, not king's Lynn or king's langley, but kualar lumpur, which is nice (i must stop saying that).
Humid, hot and no sign of Gavin Yap, the up and coming playwright of south east Asia. watch this space --->
not for too long, mind, you know you'll get a headache.
or worse.
Can't type any more send backup please..........................................................................

I found this, just pottering around in htmland: not found in Nature (the journal or the real thing, or both (?) I wondered), but it seems to be seriously interesting stuff.
Is there anyone out there?
Oh no, I feel like Roger Waters - Yikes!

Trying to buy a boat, getting the finances afloat, liquidation, whetting our ape tights with sound bites.
blackening. Blah blah.

This is the time of year when the flies and wasps begin their decline - senility sets in it seems.
Almost September,
Small orange shrub blossoming;
the smell of times gone.
Incidentally, orange blossom, in the language of flowers symbolises/signfies (what is the difference?) chastity.
My Haiku rhythm is a little skew whiff?! what IS that?
Lunch...........mmmm Chicken Kiev sausages with roasted vegetables and stilton/cheddar mashed potato. Great.
A blog of garden experimentation for the urban and urbane - produced by Andrew and Lisa Falconer can be found here
A little more of that sort of thing is located at you grow girl, which is nice.
The sprinkler in this garden keep on sprinkling. No it isn't my garden - it is an old one from 1673, in the heyday of wigwearing.com and other strange practices.

A fine summer's day in the heart of London - in a 17th century botanical garden.
With the succulent plants near the window and the Philip Miller garden beyond that - this place is a veritable paradise ( if you like that sort of thing) - botany and seclusion.
I can hear the aeroplanes coming in to land but far away enough to imagine them to be something else. Not sure what.
The window thermometer says 42 degrees celsius - but that's the midday sun for you. It can't be that hot, this is England for heaven's sake.

feeling oblique?
I am new to all this, wonder if there are any nature studyers there?
Ecologic sing-alongs with Zero 7 and Lamb I would highly recommend them for decent upbeat relaxing. Amongst others.
From their site, and this i just learned "Latest Lamb News, Spring 2002:-
North America seems to be hotting up, a new HBO series 'Six Feet Under' is getting good reviews, and with Heaven as the theme tune, its not doing us an harm.
